Sally Murphy
Biography
Sally Murphy has been a Steppenwolf Theatre Company ensemble member since 1993. Steppenwolf credits include The Minutes, Linda Vista, Visiting Edna, Time Stands Still, Sex With Strangers, August Osage County, The Crucible, Mother Courage, Uncle Vanya, the Royal Family, Skylight, Earthly Possessions, and The Common Pursuit. Broadway credits include The Minutes, Linda Vista, August Osage County (also London’s National Theater and Sydney Theatre Company), Fiddler on the Roof, The Wild Party, Carousel, and The Grapes of Wrath (also London’s National Theater). She has appeared Off Broadway in Admissions (Lincoln Center Theater), The Apple Family Plays (Public Theater), The Threepenny Opera (Atlantic Theater Company, Lortel nom), Angel Reapers (Signature Theater), Bernarda Alba and A Man Of No Importance (Lincoln Center Theater), Brutal Imagination (Vineyard Theatre) and A Tree Grows In Brooklyn (Encores!). Television credits include Succession, Law and Order SVU, The Good Wife, If These Walls Could Talk (HBO), PBS’s Great Performances and American Playhouse. Film credits include Pollock, Fearless and Scent of a Woman. Sally is a graduate of Northwestern University.
