John Mahoney
Biography
John Mahoney, June 1940 – February 2018
John Mahoney has been a Steppenwolf Theatre Company ensemble member since 1979 and has appeared in over 30 Steppenwolf productions, including The Rembrandt, The Herd, The Seafarer, I Never Sang for My Father, The Dresser, Orphans, THe Drawer Boy and You Can't Take it With You. Productions elsewhere include Chapatti, The Outgoing Tide, A Life (Northlight Theatre); Prelude to a Kiss (Broadway) and Romance (Almeida Theatre). He received a Tony Award for his performance in The House of Blue Leaves. Film credits include Moonstruck, Tin Men, Say Anything, Primal Fear, Barton Fink and, most recently, Flipped. On television Mahoney starred in Dinner at Eight, H.E.L.P, The Human Factor and Frasier.
