Synopsis

Steppenwolf actor and co-founder Gary Sinise returns to the Chicago stage as the brutish, rough-hewn Stanley Kowalski in Tennessee Williams' American Classic. In A Streetcar Named Desire, the faded beauty of a Southern plantation collides with the harsh realities of a New Orleans tenement when Blanche DuBois comes to live with her sister Stella and husband Stanley. With great compassion and vivid, poetic imagination, Williams spins this poignant and luminous story of lost love, secret desires and abandoned hope.
