Synopsis
Director Mark Brokaw, winner of the 1997 Obie, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle awards makes his Steppenwolf debut with Tenessee Williams' autobiographical memory play, The Glass Menagerie. Delicately weaving truth and illusion, Williams evokes the drab realities of the poet Tom, his overbearing mother, Amanda and his exquisitely fragile sister, Laura. Torn between his desperation to escape his oppressive existence and his devotion to his younger sister, Tom struggles to define the future for himself.Content Advisory
