Synopsis

Whispering City is a collection of "true" tales from the haunted houses, streets and alleys of Chicago. Actors and musicians perform a collection of the city's supernatural folklore, neighborhood stories, rumors, and superstitions. Figures such as the Devil Baby of Hull House, born with a cigar in its mouth and a forked tongue, Resurrection Mary, dressed in white and hitchhiking alone along Archer avenue, weave together the many cultures and languages of the city. In Whispering City, famous characters from Chicago history and infamous creatures from city legends create a mosaic of fears, hopes and transformations within the whispers from the "other side."
