Sandra Delgado

Sandra Delgado is an award-winning actor, writer and producer born and raised in Chicago. She appeared at Steppenwolf as the tough as nails, foul mouthed Veronica in The Motherfucker with the Hat. Other Steppenwolf credits include Sonia Flew, Words on Fire and Whispering City. Recent stage credits include 2666 at The Goodman Theatre and Mojada at Victory Gardens Theatre, where she was named one of the Top Ten performances of 2013 by the Chicago Tribune. Television credits include Law and Order: SVU, Chicago Justice, Empire, Exorcist, Chicago Fire and Mind Games. She is the recipient of the Joyce Award, the Theater Communications Group (TCG) Fox Foundation Resident Actor Fellowship, a two-time Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events grantee, and a 3Arts 3AP Project Grantee. She produced Teatro Vista's and Collaboraction's Yo Solo Festival of Latino Solo Shows and Collaboraction's Sketchbook Festival from 2005-2008. She is a founding ensemble member of Collaboraction and an ensemble member of Teatro Vista (Associate Artistic Director from 2006-2008). Ms. Delgado was part of the Goodman's Playwright's Unit for the 2015-16 season, a TCG Young Leader of Color Alum, and is on the Advisory Committee of the Latinx Theatre Commons, a national advocacy group for Latinx theatre artists. Sandra is a proud member of SAG-AFTRA and AEA.
