About the Show
This interdisciplinary cabaret production combines puppetry, performance art, drag and burlesque to explore the unique relationships we have to our bodies — as a whole or in parts — and to ourselves.
Red Velvet Riot and Ellis Centric are the combined forces behind HERE: productions, a company rooted in the belief of art as embodied imagination, political critique, and societal cross-examination. Since 2024, the company has produced at the Newport Theater (HERE: at the end of the world, HERE: in our bodies) while also creating a recurring community engagement series (HERE: together) and is currently in development for two new productions.
Using the stage as a medium to express, reflect, share, and organize, presented shows question social and political beliefs while building interdisciplinary cabaret performances around a central narrative. Productions weave multidisciplinary theatrical elements including original sound and video projections, drag, burlesque, acrobatics, performance art, as well as puppetry and crafted props.

About the Artists
Here: in our bodies features performances by Derry-Éire, Ellis Centric, Eva La Feva, Goodie Sesso, Hoochie Mane, OCdeezNUTZ, Red Velvet Riot, Tender Blossom, Tyler C. Calhoun and Wes Andy Sins.
Derry-Éire is one third of the production team for 'The Hot to Go Peep Show'. She can also be seen co-hosting both shows. She has been learning and performing burlesque in the Chicago area for the past 9 years. In addition, Derry is a regular ensemble member for 'The Uncanny Attic.”
Ellis Centric is a multimedia artist, working with music and sound design, dance and movement, burlesque and acrobatics, and is the second sibling in the Haus of Twirl. Their twirls, elegant acrobatic feats of strength, spine-tingling body rolls, original sound designs and live music performances put jaws and drool all over the floor. With an aim to engage vulnerability, inspire introspection and generate collective action, Ellis celebrates the human fragility and contributes to the never-ending exploration of human potential for stoopidity.
Eva La Feva was recently named the Chicago Reader’s 2025 Striptease Savant and is a nationally touring burlesque and belly dance performer, producer and the visionary founder of Feva Pitch Productions and The Newport Theater / Risque Arts Collective NFP. As a creator, performer and community advocate, she has become a cornerstone of Chicago's vibrant arts and nightlife scene. Eva pulls from over fifteen years of dance/performance experience to create a unique brand of burlesque that combines clowning, storytelling and belly dance fusion-inspired movement. She pulls from a rich background of costume creation/design to tell impactful stories and establish a unique connection with her audiences.
Goodie Sesso is the lovechild of Freddie Mercury and Mae West and the glory hole of your heart! Goodie is a Chicago native with a passion for storytelling, theater and boobs. She strives to bring joy and empowerment to the stage and believes the most vulnerable things she can do in front of an audience is play and explore. Being a big bodied beauty, she hopes to glorify obesity one jiggle at a time.
Hoochie Mane - She's naughty she's a hottie, and she's only here out of spite.
OCDeezNUTZ is a Disabled Mexican Indigenous (Yoreme) Artist who uses Ki / Kin pronouns. Ki is a professional actor, trained singer, dancer, and musician. You may have seen Kin in Lizard y El Sol at the Goodman Theatre, Skyflint at Haven Theatre or as background actor in The Bear, Dark Matter and Chicago Med.
Red Velvet Riot is the third sibling of the Haus of Twirl and returns to Chicago’s burlesque stages after a hiatus for graduate school. Challenging politics, identity and gender norms with parody and pasties, they come to the stage with a fully embodied physicality. Drawing from their background in devised theater and playwriting, burlesque is an opportunity for them to bridge narrative gaps and explore storytelling through a new lens. A sensual mistress, a character mister, POW, they’re gonna hit you right in the kisser.
Tender Blossom - You truly never know what you'll get with this effervescent posy of a performer! Tender Blossom is a theatrical dancer, burlesque artist and drag king who wears their heart on their sleeve….and pants….and face….and anywhere that’s easily accessible. No matter which persona she dawns, they're guaranteed to make you release your sensibilities and give in to your sensitivities. The most succulent bud in the bouquet, It's Tender Blossom!
Tyler C. Calhoun combines his experiences as an actor, director, writer, designer, choreographer and producer to craft engaging queer solo performances. (He wears a lot of hats!) By mining memories and magnifying moments through a prismatic lens, (Doesn't that sound fun?) Tyler hopes to reveal truths that speak to many.
Wes Andy Sins - The pretty boy of the Haus of Wonder, Wes Andy Sins has got it all: sex appeal, a big…attitude and a whole lot of nerdiness. He’s the prettiest boy in any room, and depending on who you ask, the sluttiest! Wes is a man of great vision and comical follow through, looking to take the drag scene by storm. Watching him perform is like making out while wearing glitter lipgloss — an experience you’ll never forget.
