About the Show

Movement and sound improvisors from all around Chicago gather in front of a live audience and are grouped by chance in this exploration and celebration of artistic circumstance. Each performance features a different group of performers who fuse diverse artistic practices to create unique and fleeting worlds. This unique program will be different each night, and will feature Eli Sabbagh as emcee.

About the Artists

Cristal Sabbagh, Creator and Curator of Freedom From and Freedom To, brings her performance aesthetic, rooted in improvisation and Butoh, to create performances that walk the line between the everyday, the divine, the personal and the political. In creating improvisational performance environments, she engages collaborators who use their own individual practices to interrogate movement and sound. Follow on social media @cristalsabbagh and @freedom_from_and_freedom_to.
