About the Show

Fold. Unfold. Unfolding. Unfolded.

Told. Untold. .. ..

Fold works with the retelling of origin stories as they’re shared– and reshared– through different perspectives. The truth is a personal experience and has the tendency to ooze out at its leisure at times. It may not be the first, second, or even third time we encounter it that it becomes legible. This could be because of denial, pride, or trauma. All of which are stored in their own corners of the body.

Isabella Limosnero returns to the 1700 Theater after premiering Heavy Objects and Light Movements in the 2023 LookOut series. The first, very deconstructed, version of Fold was shared at the late Link Hall’s Dusk in June 2025. This iteration of the work will be accompanied by Max Lazarus, Indigo and Carmani Edwards
