Synopsis

Based on the book Nickel and Dimed: On (Not) Getting By in America by Barbara Ehrenreich Barbara Ehrenreich, a prominent magazine journalist, recently embarked on an investigative cross-country journey questioning whether or not anyone could survive on minimum wage. Her answer was found while working undercover as a waitress, maid and salesclerk. This insightful stage adaptation of her best-selling book of non-fiction mixes colorful characters and biting commentary as she punches the time clocks in some of America’s most popular chain restaurants, hotels and stores.
