Synopsis

Winner of the 1998 Olivier Award for best play, Patrick Marber's critically-acclaimed Closer is a painfully funny and unflinchingly honest exposé of modern relationships. Set in London in the mid-90's, the play follows Alice, Dan, Larry and Anna as they meet, mate and move on, desperately searching for the partner that will rescue them from their isolation and perhaps even themselves. With his deft use of language and unnerving insight, Marber offers up a wicked dose of the human condition and reminds us what we do for love.
