On March 5, 2019, Steppenwolf Theatre Company broke ground on the next phase of its multi-year campus expansion.

Designed by world-renowned architect team Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture led by Gordon Gill, London-based theater design team Charcoalblue, and built by Chicago-based Norcon Construction -- Steppenwolf's new facility will change the way Chicagoans think about and experience the company's cutting-edge theatre.The new building will feature and intimate 400-seat In-the-Round Theatre, a dedicated education dfloor, a wine bar and sidewalk lounge, as well as Steppenwolf's costume shop.
