Equity Principal Auditions for Steppenwolf Theatre Company are scheduled annually through Actors' Equity Association. These usually take place each January for the upcoming production season. Information regarding these auditions is posted on the AEA website. Non-Equity and EMC actors are invited to “crash” the Equity Principal Auditions but are not guaranteed appointments. Steppenwolf attends the Chicago Theatre Access Auditions annually to see non-AEA talent.

How to submit: Actors should submit updated headshots and resumes to casting@steppenwolf.org. Electronic submissions must be formatted correctly in order to be considered. Both resume and picture should be in a PDF format as one attachment and your name must appear on your picture. PDF should be named Lastname_Firstname.pdf (e.g. Doe_Jane.pdf).Please note your current city of residence in your email.
