Steppenwolf sings Love Song

Chicago—Steppenwolf Theatre Company presents the world premiere of Love Song by John Kolvenbach, directed by ensemble member Austin Pendleton and featuring ensemble members Francis Guinan, Mariann Mayberry and Molly Regan with Ian Barford. The world premiere romantic comedy, centerpiece of Steppenwolf’s 30th Anniversary Gala, begins performances on March 30, 2006 in the Steppenwolf Downstairs Theatre, 1650 N. Halsted. Steppenwolf’s Gala 2006 celebrates 30 years of Steppenwolf with a phenomenal evening of fun and festivities. Gala chair Lynn Lockwood-Murphy and co-chair Donna LaPietra welcome back Steppenwolf co-founder Gary Sinise and the Lt. Dan Band to perform a live set of raucous music. He appears later in the season in the world premiere of Cormac McCarthy’s The Sunset Limited in the Steppenwolf Garage Theatre. After appearing in last season’s Cherry Orchard, ensemble member Francis Guinan performed in the critically acclaimed Stuff Happens at the Mark Taper Forum. Ensemble member Mariann Mayberry returns to Steppenwolf after recent appearances in The Pain and the Itch and Last of the Boys. Ensemble member Molly Regan last performed at Steppenwolf in Maria Arndt; she made her directing debut in last season’s Pacific. Ian Barford appeared in last season’s Lost Land.
