Stephan Mazurek has designed projections for Cherry Orchard and Sonia Flew (Jeff Nominated) at Steppenwolf Theatre. Stephan recently directed the world premier of Goldbrick, music and lyrics by Jon Langford, written by Loren Crawford and produced by Walkabout Theater and Collaboraction. Other directing credits include An Unembarrassed Mind (Storefront Theater); Voyaging (co-production with Lucky Plush at the Antheneum Theater); Downsize (14 month run in 12 bathrooms throughout Chicago, world premiere in Steppenwolf Garage Men's Room, plus productions in Brazil and Argentina); People Can Fly (Vittum Theater); Prelude (Chopin Theater) and Missing Memaw (Louisville, Chicago, and Edinburgh Fringe Festival) all world premieres. Mazurek has recently finished principle cinematography for the feature length documentary, Louder Than A Bomb, which follows the lives of twelve Chicago area high school students as they prepare for a national spoken word competition, which will have its theatrical release in late 2010.
