Rob McLean

is thrilled to be back in the role of Ko Ko, and doubly thrilled to be back at the Steppenwolf Garage, having last been here with The Hypocrites and their production of The Three Penny Opera. A company member with The Hypocrites since 2001, Rob has most recently been seen in their productions of The Pirates of Penzance (Pirate King/Sgt. Of Police), Cabaret (Ernst; Jeff Award for Best Production-Musical), Sophocles: Seven Sicknesses (Philoktotes; Jeff Award for Best Production-Play), Coriolanus (Meninius), No Exit (Garcin), The Hairy Ape (Long) and Mud (Henry). Around town he has worked with Strawdog (Red Noses), Eclipse (Spinning Into Butter), Griffin Theatre (Company, The Constant Wife), City Lit (Twelfth Night) and Lifeline Theatre (Two Towers, Return of The King, The Killer Angels, Around the World in 80 Days, and Treasure Island.) Regionally Rob has performed at American Repertory Theatre (Pirates of Penzance) and Lakeside Shakespeare Theatre (Comedy of Errors and Romeo & Juliet), and he will be travelling to Actors’ Theatre of Louisville with Pirates of Penzance this coming January.
