Rasean Davonte Johnson returns to Steppenwolf Theatre Company where he previously worked on Ms. Blakk for President, La Ruta, You Got Older and BLKS, as well as Steppenwolf for Young Adults' The Burn. A Chicago-based video artist and theatrical designer, he has worked locally with institutions such as Writers Theatre, Drury Lane Theatre, Court Theatre, Timeline Theatre, Teatro Vista, The Hypocrites, Collaboraction and Manual Cinema. Other credits include projects with The Public Theatre, Yale Repertory Theatre, ArtsEmerson, Dallas Theatre Center, Long Wharf Theatre, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, McCarter Theatre Center, Olney Theatre Center, Geva Theatre Center, Berkshire Theatre Group, Alliance Theatre and the Ningbo Song and Dance Company.
