Mierka Girten was last seen at A Red Orchid Theatre, where she is an ensemble member, in her critically acclaimed one woman show With or Without Wings. Other credits at A Red Orchid include: Weapon Of Mass Impact; The Meek; Kimberly Akimbo; and The Treatment. Branching out to other Chicago theatre companies, you may have seen Mierka in A View From The Bridge (American Theatre Company); The Book Of Liz (Roadworks); The Danube, Edmond; Marat Sade and A Blood Wedding (The Hypocrites); Spitfire Grill (Provision Theatre); Into The Woods (Porchlight Musical Theatre); Joy Of The Desolate (Appletree); Golf (Circle Theatre); Devour The Moon and Dear Jackie (Livebait Theatre); Separation (Illinois Theatre Center), Tattoo Girl (Cobalt Ensemble Theatre), Marathon 33 and Subterranean Love Story (Stawdog). Mierka sings on Seth Thompson’s newly released album ”Capillarious” (Epiglotic Records), and looks forward to singing live with his band. Mierka returns to the stage with Rivendell Theatre Ensemble after Marisa Wegryzens Psalms of a Questionable Nature with loads of excitement and respect for the cast, crew and story (thank you Tara!!). You can catch Mierka this August in A Red Orchid Theatre’s Mistakes Were Made with Oscar Nominee Michael Shannon. Love to Rose and Huz.
