Michael John LaChiusa's Broadway credits include The Wild Party (New York Shakespeare Festival; book co-authored by George C. Wolfe; 2000 Tony Award nominations for Best Musical, Best Book, Best Score); Marie Christine (Lincoln Center Theater, 2000 Tony Award nominations for Best Book, Best Score);and Chronicle of a Death Foretold (Lincoln Center Theater, 1997 Tony Award nominations for Best Musical, Best Bookwith Jim Lewis and Graciela Daniele). Off-Broadway credits include Bernarda Alba , Hello Again (Obie Award) (Lincoln Center Theater); See What I Wanna See (The Public Theatre); Little Fish (Second Stage Theatre); First Lady Suite (Obie Award), The Petfrified Prince (book by Edward Gallardo) (New York Shakespeare Festival); and Break/Agnes/Eulogy for Mister Hamm (Playwrights Horizons). Regional credits include Broken Sleep (Williamstown Theater Festival, book by Donald Margulies). Michael is an adjunct professor at the Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program at Tisch School of the Arts, New York University.
