Artist

Leean Kim Torske a Korean/Norwegian-American playwright from the great state of Wyoming. Through the lenses of race, illness, gender, and class, Leean tells stories about characters facing questions of identity. She also works as a dramaturg with playwrights, film makers, and theatres, both as a researcher and in new play development. She earned her MFA in Playwriting from Ohio University and her MA in Literary Studies from the University of Wyoming. Leean is excited to be back at Steppenwolf for her fourth season leading post-show discussions.
