Laley Lippard (Director) is thrilled to be at Steppenwolf Theatre Company. Work at Northwestern University includes Macbeth, The Cherry Orchard, MasterClash Playwright Festival, and assisting Belarus Free Theatre. In San Francisco, Laley collaborated with Magic Theatre (artistic associate), foolsFURY Theater (company member), Playwrights’ Foundation, ACT Theatre and Intersection for the Arts. A Stage Directors and Choreographers Directing Observership recipient and member of Lincoln Center Theater Directors Lab, her directing credits includes Pure Shock Value (Killing My Lobster, world premiere); Big Love (foolsFURY Theater); Proof and Art (Seaside Repertory Theatre). She has assisted Frank Galati, Anna Shapiro, Dennis Zacek, Ethan McSweeny and Sean Graney, and has interned at Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company, Guthrie Theater and recently with the American Voices New Play Institute at Arena Stage.
