John Ortiz

John Ortiz is co-founder of LAByrinth Theater Company (1992) and served as co-artistic director with Philip Seymour Hoffman for eight years. The Motherf**ker with the Hat marks his fourth Stephen Adly Guirgis play, including Jesus Hopped the 'A' Train (Drama Desk nomination). LAByrinth Theater Company credits include Jack Goes Boating by Bob Glaudini (Drama Desk nomination), Guinea Pig Solo by Brett C. Leonard and Where's My Money by John Patrick Shanley. Other stage credits include Othello, The Persians, Sueño and References to Salvador Dalí Make Me Hot by José Rivera (Obie Award), Anna in the Tropics (Broadway), Rose Tattoo, A Few Good Men and The Merchant of Venice.
