Jesse Roth is a Chicago-based director and dramaturg. She recently directed The Terrible Magic of Gertie Lazarus with The New Colony’s Associate Company. She recently collaborated with First Floor Theatre on the workshop of Six Memosas a director and writer. She also recently assistant directed Hamlet is Dead: No Gravity at Red Tape Theatre. She is the Assistant to the Artistic Director at A Red Orchid Theatre and has also worked as the Assistant Directing, Dramaturgy, and Development Intern at Court Theatre. She is a graduate of the Theatre and Performance Studies program at the University of Chicago where she directed The Credeaux Canvas, Cymbeline, The Violet Hour, Crime and Punishment, andLunch.
