Frank Russell
Frank Russell is a band leader, recording artist, clinician, and composer and is excited to be returning to the Steppenwolf Theatre for his third production. With three critically acclaimed albums to his credit his latest is Influences (A Tribute to Bass Guitar in Jazz). Frank has performed or recorded with music greats Wallace Roney, Ken Chaney, Henry Johnson, Ramsey Lewis, Freddie Hubbard and Linda Clifford. Theatre credits include Beehive (Briar Street Theatre); Evelyn and the Polka King and Nomathemba (Steppenwolf Theatre Company). Frank is also listed in Jon Liebman’s Funk Bass with some of the top bassists in the world.
