Douglas Post
Douglas Post’s original scores for Steppenwolf include the mainstage production of Miss Julie (directed by Tom Irwin), the Steppenwolf Second Company productions of A Midsummer Night’s Dream (directed by Tom Irwin) and Twelfth Night (directed by Sheldon Patinkin and Jeff Perry), and the Steppenwolf touring production of From the Page to the Stage: A Shakespeare Sampler (directed by Frank Farrell). His teleplay Murder in Green Meadows (directed by Randall Arney and featuring Gary Cole, Moira Harris, Tom Irwin and Rondi Reed) was a collaborative effort between the Steppenwolf Ensemble and WMAQ-TV, and was nominated for six Emmy Awards including one for Individual Achievement in Writing. In addition, his plays Personal Effects, Drowning Sorrows and Comden Mall Community Activists have all received readings at Steppenwolf.
