Buddy Guy

Buddy Guy is considered by many to be Chicago's blues king. He started his career at the fabled 708 club and signed with Chess Records in 1960, becoming an in-demand session guitarist and backing such noted artists as Muddy Waters, Willie Dixon, Little Walter, Sonny Boy Williamson and Koko Taylor. During the 1970s and 80s, he had over 20 releases, many with harp master Junior Wells. Buddy is best known for his work in the 90s, though, which includes Damn Right, I've Got The Blues (1991), Feels Like Rain (1993) and Slippin' In (1994), all three of which earned Grammy Awards. Buddy has been awarded more W.C. Handy awards then any other blues artist, and is a recent inductee of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
