Ann Filmer

ANN FILMER (Director, Adaptor) 16th Street Theater founder/artistic director Ann Filmer developed and directed the premiere of Tony Fitzpatrick’s This Train for 16th Street Theater in Berwyn before bringing it to The Steppenwolf Garage last summer. She also adapted and directed Stations Lost, the second in Tony’s trilogy, at The Steppenwolf Garage last year before moving it to Brooklyn. Ann has directed for Goodman Theatre, A Red Orchid Theatre, Shattered Globe Theatre, Live Bait Theater, Stage Left Theatre, Chicago Dramatists, Circle Theatre, and The Aardvark. For 16th Street, she has directed Marilyn Campbell’s The Beats, Brett Neveu’s The Last Barbecue, Robert Koon’s Menorca, Tanya Saracho’s Kita y Fernanda and Rohina Malik’s Unveiled (which transferred to Victory Gardens Theater). Ann won an After Dark Award for her direction of John Green’s The Liquid Moon at Chicago Dramatists.
