As you've most likely noticed, Steppenwolf's Box Office has been renamed Audience Services to better reflect the renewed dedication to exceptional customer service. Audience Services is also in the process of installing a new computer ticketing system. The state-of-the-art system will facilitate greater efficiency in ticket exchanges, subscription renewals, online seating charts, ticket sales and customer service. The installation process is already underway, with the transition between systems scheduled to begin in January. And when you arrive for Cherry Orchard, our Front of House staff will, as always, be there to assist you in finding your way to the intimate Upstairs Theatre. A few of the many members of Audience Services and Front of House took a short break to introduce themselves to the readers of Backstage:
NAME: Amanda Sheehan
TITLE: House Manager
"This is a business, but it is also a family, especially within the Front of House staff. We spend all of our nights and all day on the weekends together, so we are a very important part of each other's lives. We get to know one another on such a personal level that this is where I met my husband, Kevin!"
NAME: Elizabeth Middleton
TITLE: Subscription Ticket Services Manager
"Let us know what you think! I enjoy talking to subscribers after they've enjoyed a particular show."
NAME: James Freund
TITLE: Audience Services Manager
"A bunch of us play Chicago Theatre League Softball. We were a championship team back in the early '80s…but now we're more of the Bad News Bears. But we play hard and we have fun. Check us out on Mondays in the summer at Clarendon Park. We're the only team with a kazoo."

"I love working during the shows. It gives me a chance to get to know our audience on a more personal level, putting faces to names. I started working as a Greeter when I was an intern in the Artistic Office. My job allows me to remain connected to Steppenwolf as a whole, something I'm very grateful for."

TITLE: Bartender
"My full-time job is as Company Manager at Steppenwolf, but I bartend in the evenings at the theater to make extra money so I can travel. I travel as much as possible to places as far away as possible: New Zealand, Morocco, Mont Blanc, The Pyrenees Mountains and Slovenia, most recently."
