New officer and trustees elected to the Steppenwolf Board of Trustees

Lynn Lockwood Murphy Keith Cardoza John Hass The Steppenwolf Board of Trustees recently elected John Hass as Secretary of the Board and several new trustees. We welcome the opportunity to work with these civic leaders in advancing the mission of Steppenwolf Theatre. John Hass (Secretary) is a Managing Director and serves as the Chief Operating Officer of the Financial Institutions Group of Goldman, Sachs & Co. Mr. Hass joined the Steppenwolf Board in 2000 and became a member of the Executive Committee in 2001. He chairs the fundraising committee of the Board of Trustees and co-chairs the Special Gifts Committee for Staging the Future: The Campaign for Steppenwolf. Lynn Lockwood Murphy has committed much of her adult life to preserving and promoting the arts. As Director of Special Projects for the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs, Ms. Murphy worked with Maggie Daley and Lois Weisberg to create and later expand Gallery 37, the City’s internationally acclaimed arts job training program. She co-chairs the Special Gifts Committee for Staging the Future: The Campaign for Steppenwolf. Keith Cardoza, CFA, is Director of Investment Strategy & Asset Allocation for The Boeing Company. Mr. Cardoza chairs Boeing’s Investment Strategy and Asset Allocation Committee (ISAAC), which manages the annualized return for Boeing’s defined benefit plan. Mr. Cardoza also oversees all aspects of the company’s 401k plan. The Boeing Company sponsored Steppenwolf’s 2003-2004 season’s production of Topdog/Underdog.
