Synopsis

opened May 21, 2000 The creators of the award winning Frankenstein and The Ballad of Frankie and Johnny turn their talents to another classic. A troupe of players emerges from the shadows on a dimly lit stage. They have arrived to celebrate the life of Quasimodo, the central character in Victor Hugo's "The Hunchback of Notre Dame." Using masks, puppets, aggressive physical performance, and a constantly transforming set, their tale will ultimately point to the innate ability of human beings to find cause for celebration, even in the midst of pain and anguish. In adapting of Victor Hugo's novel, Redmoon Theatre has made every effort not to change the core story and characters.
