About Gwen La Roka

Gwen's honest comedic approach, meshed with her physical humor, has crowds from all ages and backgrounds laughing at life, together. Gwen has worked with some of today's funniest comedians like Gina Yashere, Felipe Esparza, Aida Rodriguez and Finesse Mitchell, as well as legendary Pal Rodriguez and George Wallace. She has also featured and headlined at world famous comedy clubs through out the country including Zanies, The Laugh Factory and The Improv.

After having some fun as a voiceover actor for an animated Viva Films role in Around the World in 80 Days, Gwen went on to be a winner in the '21 NY Latino Film Festival Comedy Competition. She is now the first Latina from Chicago to make her comedy special debut on HBO Max.

Then in 2022 she wrote, directed and debuted her first one woman show Mi Casa Es Tu Casa, a sold out 13-show run. By popular demand, she brought it back in 2023 and was so well received by the public the show was Jeff Recommended and Gwen was recently Jeff Nominated for her performance. Now, she is welcoming us back into her living room once again.
