The Literary Internship is ideal for someone who is passionate about the arts, inspired by new work, and is interested in observing and participating in the day-to-day of an artistic team.  The intern can explore the artistic side of the industry, which includes dramaturgical research and blogs, script coverage, and attending artistic meetings. The intern can also learn more about the administrative side of things by logging script submissions, script copying, and editing and compiling articles. The Literary Intern will work side by side with not only the Literary Team, but also alongside the Artistic Directors and their Executive Assistant, the LookOut Producing Team, and Casting Director. At the beginning of their internship, the Literary Intern will meet with their supervisors to discuss their goals and collaborate in cultivating the experience that best suits them. Ideally, that experience incorporates both the artistic and administrative aspects of the work and both the Intern and Supervisor are able to articulate what success looks like for each of them.

The Literary Internship is a great opportunity for a candidate who is interested in the administrative side of a theater and has a desire to learn about the daily responsibilities of an Artistic Department.
