Artist

Ellen is a director, playwright and performer. She is a founding ensemble member with Theatre Zarko and has appeared in Iktu Blas, Dreams from an Upside-Down Man, The Sublime Beauty of Hands, Klown Kantos, Haff the Man / Falling Girl, which she also adapted and co-directed. Favorite projects include directing The Minneola Twins at the Stage Center Theatre, and adapting and directing The Girl in the Flammable Skirt for Paleo Productions. She has received staged readings of her play, Ubu Planet, with The Women's Theatre Alliance and has developed other work with Chicago Dramatists. She is thrilled to debut this work with Steppenwolf’s Garage Rep.
