About the Show
Carl Chadek: You’re Not Right for That! is an old-school style cabaret with music from Broadway, the great American songbook, classic pop and just maybe a little comedy. Think dinner jackets, evening gowns and martinis. Nobody is right for everything, and auditioning can be, well, interesting. Here’s a glimpse into auditioning, reviews and casting choices that may be completely wrong or, perhaps, exactly right.
Featuring
Beckie Menzie – piano
Irwin Berkowitz – percussion
Scott Masson – bass
About the Artist
Carl Chadek – Singer, pianist, actor, music director and man-about-town has been sighted on-stage all over the place including The Arts Club of Chicago, the Rhapsody Theatre, Davenport’s, Drew’s, Edge of the Wood Theater, Skylight Music Theater, Opera for the Young, Lyric Opera and (in an era now lost to history) Gentry. Carl made Chicago his home after an extended stay on the road as pianist/conductor with tours of Forever Plaid, A Closer Walk with Patsy Cline and others. He was most recently seen in the role of Pooh-Bah in a politically correct version of the The Mikado with the Savoyaires of Evanston. Yes, he was exactly right for the role.
