Our Workforce Development program offers opportunities for early-career professionals to experience the inner-workings of a professional theatre.
We are excited to launch our Workforce Development Program for the 26/27 Season! This program offers opportunities for early-career professionals to experience the inner-workings of a professional theatre. Participants are given a deep dive into the inner workings of a specific department and practical learning experiences. Each of these apprenticeships includes opportunities to work alongside experienced Steppenwolf staff members along with intentional mentorship and professional development. What Can You Expect to Learn?
- Comprehensive, hands-on training in specific technical theatre fields or administrative departments
- Build connections to peers, mentors, and industry professionals
- Opportunities to work collaboratively with an experienced team
- Curated professional development seminars (Ex: Resume building, networking with other professionals in the field, etc)
- Free tickets to Steppenwolf programming
Ability to witness firsthand how a world-class theatre operates
Available Positions
PRODUCTION & ADMINISTRATIVE APPRENTICESHIPS
Compensation
Pay: $17.27/hour for an average of 40 hours/week, depending on the department.
Benefits: Eligibility for Steppenwolf's part-time dental plan, paid sick time, vision insurance and a pre-tax Chicago Transit Authority card.
