Spend an evening with Steppenwolf
Steppenwolf Theatre Company's one-of-a-kind events celebrate the work seen on our stages with our acclaimed ensemble of artists. Join us for a chic fundraising event like the Gala, Women in the Arts or Behind the Screens. Steppenwolf offers unique and memorable opportunities to engage with the theatre and our artists. We hope you will spend an evening with us.
Gala
Board of Trustees and our renowned ensemble of artists, Steppenwolf's Gala brings together leaders from the Chicago community for a memorable celebration of the theatre. This signature event raises over $1 million annually - invaluable resources that help us champion new voices and artists on our stages and bring high-quality productions to teens making Steppenwolf a destination for ambitious, thought-provoking theatre.
Women in the Arts
Steppenwolf’s annual Women in the Arts Luncheon honors women for their distinguished careers in theatre, television and film. Past honorees include Steppenwolf ensemble members Joan Allen and Martha Plimpton, Julianna Margulies and Mary-Louise Parker, along with Claire Danes, Phylicia Rashad, Sarah Paulson and Danai Gurira. Proceeds from the luncheon support the next generation of young leaders in the arts.
Behind the Screens
Since its inaugural year, the Steppenwolf Associates have raised nearly $1 million for Steppenwolf Education. Throughout the year, the Associates host some of the most unique fundraising events across the city, drawing hundreds of young professionals to support arts education. Each event is the perfect mix of fun and fundraising, meeting new people and making a change.
Veterans' Night
The Veterans Night Series was started in 1982 by Steppenwolf Theatre Company founders Jeff Perry, Terry Kinney, and Gary Sinise. This group is given the privilege to be the first audience to see each production, as they are invited to the final dress rehearsal of the plays featured in Steppenwolf’s season.
