Tom Pearl

Tom Pearl is General Manager at Steppenwolf where he was the primary staff lead on the design of the new theater/education building. Tom arrived at Steppenwolf in 2014 starting as the Director of Production and then Producing Director from 2022-2025.  Before Steppenwolf Tom spent 5 years as Production Manager at Berkeley Repertory Theater, 15 years at Baltimore Center Stage in both lighting and production management, and 3 seasons with Glimmerglass Opera. These roles have included collaborations with a dozen different regional theaters, several international companies, and transfers of productions to Hong Kong, Singapore, Ireland, London, and to many New York runs both on and off Broadway. He has proudly served on the Michael Merritt Awards committee since moving to Chicago in 2014 and also serves of the board of directors of Season of Concern.
