Sally Murphy


Sally Murphy has been a Steppenwolf Theatre Company ensemble member since 1993. Steppenwolf credits include August: Osage County (also Broadway, London’s National Theater and Sydney Theatre Company), Linda Vista, Visiting Edna, Time Stands Still, Sex With Strangers, The Crucible, Mother Courage, The Royal Family, Uncle Vanya, Skylight, The Grapes Of Wrath (also Broadway and London’s National Theatre), Earthly Possessions and The Common Pursuit. Other Broadway credits include Carousel (Lincoln Center Theater), Fiddler On The Roof and The Wild Party. Sally has appeared Off-Broadway in The Apple Family Plays at the Public Theater (also Berlin, Vienna, Brighten and on PBS); Angel Reapers (Signature Theatre); The Threepenny Opera (Atlantic Theater Company, Lortel nom); Bernarda Alba and A Man Of No Importance (Lincoln Center Theater); Brutal Imagination (Vineyard Theatre) and A Tree Grows In Brooklyn (Encores!). Television credits include The Good Wife, Mob Doctor, Law and Order, If These Walls Could Talk, Chicago Hope, PBS’s Great Performances and American Playhouse. Film credits include Pollock, Charming Billy, Fearless and Scent of a Woman. Sally is a graduate of Northwestern University.
