Synopsis

Due to high demand, some performances of Richard III are sold out. However seats may open up the evening of the performance due to no-shows or last-minute returns. If you would like to try getting into the show by purchasing standby tickets we recommend arriving at the Garage Theatre one hour before the show. Our standby protocol is as follows: one hour before the show we sell a limited number of standby tickets on a first-come-first served basis. At show time we get as many audience members in as we can accommodate. Anyone who has purchased a standby ticket and is unable to get in receives a full refund. The Gift leads this innovative take on the Shakespearean classic—a production originally planned by the disbanded Next Theatre of Evanston—presented in Steppenwolf’s Garage Theatre. Experience some of the finest actors in the Chicago theater community coming together to tell the outrageous rise and reign of Richard.
