Synopsis

ONE NIGHT ONLY! Accomplished playwright, clown, actor and director Bill Irwin makes a rare and long-awaited appearance in Chicago at Steppenwolf’s acclaimed Traffic series. This one-night-only original event is a pastiche of Irwin’s legendary solo work, marked by his wonderfully unique performance style, comic antics and dramatic theatrical musings. Whether performing in his original Tony Award-winning Fool Moon, Waiting for Godot at Lincoln Center, or, most recently, a full season of his work at New York’s Signature Theatre Company, “this uncanny comic actor has always exuded the sense that he is listening to music that no one else can hear” (The New York Times).
