Synopsis
A masterpiece by Chicago writer Sherwood Anderson, Winesburg, Ohio has influenced the great American writers of our time, including William Faulkner and Ernest Hemingway. Here in a new theatrical adaptation, a boy comes of age in a small Midwestern town. He is surrounded by ordinary people who gradually reveal that they are twisted, burdened and elated by extraordinary passions. From the girl deserted by her lover to the Reverend filled with forbidden desire, Anderson's characters take the stage with dramatic clarity.Content Advisory
