Synopsis
Opened September 21, 1997 David Hare's luminously beautiful Skylight is a play of uncommon richness. A 1996 theatrical sensation in London and New York, it is a play filled with fierce ideas. Featuring ensemble members Sally Murphy and Francis Guinan, and directed by Mike Nussbaum, Skylight is the story of the unbridgeable gulf between two people - Kyra, an idealistic inner-city schoolteacher and Tom, an upscale restaurateur for whom she once worked. It is about their love affair-intense, adulterous and ended. Or is it? When Tom pays a visit to Kyra's chilly flat, the former lovers rehash old business and explore new territories in this play of remarkable depth and passion.Content Advisory
