ABOUT THIS SHOW

The Uncanny Attic is an absurdist dark comedy told through puppetry, clowning, dance, live music, stop motion animation and an unhealthy dose of death. Inspired by the artwork and literary nonsense of Edward Gorey, it’s a world where catastrophic events happen with utter regularity and its inhabitants–particularly children–are an endangered species.

ABOUT THE CREATORS

The Bunny Royale (Jennifer Friedrich) and Bazuka Joe (Ken Gasch) are veteran producers and artists based in Chicago whose local credits include Incurable Theater, Redmoon Theater, Poonie's Cabaret at Links Hall, Vertical Side Show and Newport Theater Camp. They have also been producers at The Burlesque Hall of Fame in Las Vegas and The Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Between them, they have a combined number of years (that's too large a number to admit) as professional artists in puppeteering, prop/set design, concert dance, burlesque and cabaret arts.
