ABOUT THIS SHOW

Passions ignite when Layla, an intense literature professor, accuses Imran, a brashly iconoclastic novelist, of trading in anti-Muslim stereotypes. But as their attraction grows into something more, they discover that good sex doesn't always make good bedfellows. Conflicting cultural identities collide in this reading of a thornily clever antidote to a "meet-cute" romance.

ABOUT SWANASA Central

SWANASA Central is a newly formed collective of artists and organizers dedicated to representing, amplifying, and advocating for the South West Asian, North African and South Asian artist communities.

Our organization was launched in January of 2020 by a small group of impassioned, dedicated arts and media professionals and was built by their volunteer power. Our goal was to break historically white organizational power structures that gatekeep access to a select few, and operate as a non-hierarchical administration that empowers any member of our community to develop their own work. The outcome is a unique organizational structure that rotates administrative leadership while supporting collective members with the resources to lead or produce their own work. Learn more about our upcoming events and join the Collective at www.swanasacentral.org
