mariann mayberry award
Mariann started her career at Steppenwolf as an intern and staff member. She was always known for her love, kindness and support for all those unsung heroes who work behind the scenes.
In 2018 we announced the creation of The Mariann Mayberry Award (The M’Lou). The award provides a yearly cash gift given to candidate(s) from Steppenwolf’s staff to be used for aide in pursuing creative endeavors or help in facing life’s challenges or financial hardships.
It is our hope that this award will continue her legacy of generosity for a long time to come. Mariann’s family generously endowed this fund with a gift of $100,000 and we invite further gifts to seed the fund and ensure its longtime existence.
