A CREATIVE SPACE FOR CHICAGO'S TEENS AND CHICAGO'S ENSEMBLE

Join Steppenwolf’s Ensemble of professional actors, playwrights, directors and stage managers for a weekend of artistic workshops and creation together.

What is the 88 Seat Project?

The 88 Seat Project is a creative space for Chicago’s teens (age 13 - 19) & Chicago’s Ensemble of award-winning actors and directors to learn new theater skills together and understand what makes an ensemble so unique. Steppenwolf Ensemble members and teens will be paired as mentor/mentees in order to spend the weekend learning from one another. Ensemble Members will teach workshops on topics such as scene study, character analysis and creating the world of a play as well as teaching “special skills” workshops on topics as diverse as the talents of the Ensemble.

This program is free and NO prior theater experience is required. Just bring yourself!
