Robert Brill

Robert Brill’s (Set Designer) designs for Steppenwolf include The Violet Hour, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, A Streetcar Named Desire, Buried Child and A Clockwork Orange. For Broadway, his credits include Assassins (Tony nomination) and the set and club design for the critically acclaimed revival of Cabaret, in addition to A Streetcar Named Desire, The Good Body, Laugh Whore, Anna in the Tropics, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Design for Living, Buried Child, The Rehearsal and the upcoming revival of The Wiz. His other credits include Dollhouse and The House of Martin Guerre for the Goodman Theatre, L'Incoronazione di Poppea for Chicago Opera Theatre, On The Record for Disney Theatrical, Sinatra for Radio City Music Hall, An American in Paris for Boston Ballet and The Laramie Project (New York, Denver, Berkeley, La Jolla). A founding member of Sledgehammer Theatre, he has designed for The Whitney Museum of American Art, Lincoln Center Theatre, NYSF/Public Theatre, Manhattan Theatre Club, Roundabout, New York Stage and Film, New York Theatre Workshop, McCarter Theatre, The Guthrie, Denver Center Theatre, Berkeley Repertory, Mark Taper Forum, La Jolla Playhouse, Old Globe, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, South Coast Repertory, American Conservatory Theater and is recipient of the 2004 Michael Merritt Award for Excellence In Design and Collaboration.
