Marcia Ball is known for her infectious, intelligent and deeply emotional brand of southern boogie, rollicking, roadhouse blues and heartfelt ballads. Ball started performing in Texas with Freda and the Firedogs, moving onto a solo career in 1978 launching her debut album Circuit Queen. Over the course of her three-decade career as a singer and pianist, Ball has earned a huge and intensely loyal following all over the world. Ball has collaborated with several artists including Angela Strehli and Lou Ann Barton on the widely popular album Dreams Come True and worked with Tracy Nelson and Irma Thomas on the album three divas of the blues. Her other recordings include Soulful Dress, Hot Tamale Baby, Gatorhythms, Blue House, Let Me Play With Your Poodle and the Grammy-nominated Sing It! (1998).
