John Fournier is a musician, composer, lyricist, arranger and educator. Fournier has co-created and written original scores for 500 Clown Christmas, Redmoon Theater’s The Golden Truffle, and Fatty Arbuckle’s Spectacular Musical Review for Second City Theatricals. He has also written original music for The Writers’ Theatre. As a performer, he has toured nationally and internationally and has had the honor of working with Bernadette Peters, Jerry Butler, Raul Midon, Robbie Fulks, Prince, The Bee Gees, Bobby Rydell, Luis Enrique, Bob Newhart, The Mighty Blue Kings and Leslie Gore. His jazz vocal ensemble, Dovetail, performs regularly in the Chicago area and will be releasing its debut recording in 2009. Fournier teaches music for the Aspira Charter Schools in Chicago and plays saxophone, flute, clarinet and piano professionally. As a solo recording artist he recorded two critically acclaimed CD's for the LunaDisc Label, Breakfast at Epiphany's and Drinking in Airports. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in music from the University of Miami, with emphasis on composition and jazz performance.
