Freeman Coffey makes his Steppenwolf debut with The Sunset Limited. He has appeared in many local Chicago theatre productions including Let Me Live, By The Music of the Spheres (Goodman Theatre); Hambone, Other World Lovers (Victory Gardens), Thunder Knocking at the Door (Northlight); East Texas Hot Links, Doolisters Blues, Sty of the Blind Pig (Onyx); Home, Pill Hill, Death of the Black Jesus (Chicago Theatre Co); Stones and Bones (Strawdog); A Raisin in the Sun (Hidden Stages); Blakk Love (Preston Bradley Center) and as Paul Robeson in Paul Robeson All American (Indiana Rep). He has appeared on Early Edition and in the motion pictures, Hardball, Home Alone 3, Uncle Nino, Children on Their Birthdays and An Assignment. Freeman can be heard on many local radio commercials, Jewel-Osco, Famous Amos Cookies and television commercials, like McDonalds.
